Whenever a New Moon Solar Eclipse arrives, the spiritual community is quick to tell you to "think positive," set your intentions, and manifest your dream life. But if you have been on this journey for a while, you already know that trying to force a high vibration during a massive cosmic reset is exhausting. In fact, if you are wondering, "Why isn't manifestation working for me?", it might be because you are engaging in spiritual bypassing.

Today, the New Moon aligns precisely with the Nodes of Fate, causing the Moon to intersect the direct line of sight to the Sun. And this time, it is happening in the bold, dramatic sign of Leo.

In tarot, The Sun is often hailed as the ultimate card of joy, success, and positivity. The happiest card in the deck! But what happens when you stare at the sun for too long? You get burned.

The shadow of The Sun card is toxic positivity. It is the exhaustion that comes from forcing a smile, refusing to look at the dark, and burning out your nervous system because you are terrified that a negative thought will ruin your manifestation. True mastery requires anchoring the frequency of an archetype without getting burned by it. It requires honoring the messy, human reality of the dark just as much as the light.

Holding Space for the Eclipse

My personal practice during eclipses is to stay fiercely committed to holding both light and shadow space for myself for the entire day.

This year, this Leo eclipse is happening in my 7th House of Partnerships. Because I know this energy is fated, I am taking the day off to be fully present with my partner. Whatever comes up for me today will inevitably transform our dynamic. Instead of ignoring or putting off any tension, I prefer to dive straight into what arises —whether it is smooth, or incredibly messy. Eclipses reveal what has been hidden, and the actions we take to address our wholeness during these cosmic windows will always pay off.

Because this eclipse is in Leo, we must boldly go into our ego, our unique journey, and our multidimensional selves like only we can.
